Do you need visa coming to Chernobyl?

You need a valid passport to enter Ukraine, no matter where you come from. Some countries, especially within Europe allow travelling just with your National ID. Unfortunately, Ukraine is not the case. Your passport needs to be up to date. You might undergo additional scrutiny when your passport is about to expire. It’s recommended to have passport’s expiry date further than 6 months after the day of your planned return. This is mainly looked at when visa for entering the country are required.

Good news is that you don’t need visa unless you plan to spend more than 90 days in Ukraine. Most of the visits last much shorter than three months, so no hassle there.

If you are a holder of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea (South), Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Mongolia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Vatican City, United Kingdom, United States & Uzbekistan passport there should be no complications at all for you to stay up to 90 days without any visa.
